Program Description

The College of Sciences and Theoretical Studies offers a Bachelor’s program in Law, with the aim of providing a distinguished educational program in its content that keeps pace with legislative developments, creates interaction between Sharia rules and regulatory rules, and ensures the development of the student’s self-skills through its presentation using technological educational means, in order to prepare specialized and qualified cadres with modern qualification that enables them to participate in various development sectors. Vision: Providing an educational program distinguished in its content according to the highest quality standards and best global practices, keeping pace with legislative developments, creating interaction between Sharia rules and regulatory rules, and ensuring the development of the student’s self-skills, through relying on blended learning style and presenting it using technological educational means, in order to prepare specialized, qualified, trained, and scientifically and practically distinguished cadres in the field of law, qualifying them to participate in various development sectors, achieving the targets of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 towards qualifying and educating the largest possible segment of national human resources and enabling them to compete in the labor market. Mission: Qualifying competencies with distinguished cognitive and research skills that keep pace with regulatory developments in various fields of legal sciences, to contribute to raising the cognitive level in a way that contributes to serving society.

Students after finishing this program are expected to:

  • Be knowledgeable about the Saudi legal environment in all legislative, regulative and judicial fields. This will promote competence in the field for students to achieve high qualifications.
  • Develop the ability to take independent action in order to deal scientifically and professionally with legal cases.
  • Meet the labor market needs for legal cadres who are scientifically and practically qualified.
  • Be capable of understanding the specificities of the Saudi legal system, which is based on Sharia regulations. Also, to be capable of involvement across a range of commercial, financial, administrative and social fields.
  • Contribute to spreading legal awareness in the society that reflects on the country in a positive manner.
  • Prepare qualified graduates who are able to deal with the regulations of international laws and reconcile these laws with the Saudi law that is governed by Islamic Sharia as well as applying the laws to local and international sectors.
  • Prepare national cadres who are able to give legal consultations and plead in courts within and outside of Saudi Arabia.
  • Become familiar with the rules, mechanisms and requirements of international trade, which corresponds with the important role that Saudi Arabia holds in international trading.​
