Program Description

The program aims for leadership and excellence in the field of quality control in pharmacy in education and scientific research.

  • Scientific & Technical Expertise: Gain advanced knowledge in quality assurance (QA), regulatory compliance, and specific quality control (QC) methodologies used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Methodological Proficiency: Master all official methods of analysis for pharmaceutical preparations, including the statistical evaluation of data and physical testing methods.
  • Instrumentation Skills: Develop hands-on ability with advanced analytical techniques such as HPLCGC/MSLC/MS, and automation in pharmaceutical analysis.
  • Regulatory & Ethical Understanding: Understand pharmaceutical legislation, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations, and auditing processes to ensure product integrity from raw materials to the final dosage form.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Foster critical thinking to address complex challenges, such as drug stability, impurity identification, and the prevention of cross-contamination during manufacturing.
  • Research & Communication: Acquire the skills to conduct independent scientific research, interpret findings, and effectively communicate results through seminars and technical documentation.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from King Saud University or any other university recommended by the Ministry of Education with a cumulative GPA of not less than (2.75 out of 5) or its equivalent.
  • Submit English language test results, or have obtained the qualification in English from countries where English is the official language according to the approved Deanship list.
  • Pass the written examination conducted by the program with a score of (40%).
