Program Description

The Master of Science in Mathematics is a distinctive program providing graduates with a deep knowledge in the main mathematical topics, opening their prospects to the professional career, through a high-quality academic program and distinguished professors that prepares them to be creative researchers capable of lifelong learning, critical thinking and serving the society.

3. To provide students with skills needed to become lifelong learners and researchers in pure and applied Mathematics. (Measurement of learning outcomes, project)

5. To attract and maintain highly qualified faculty members.

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree (Full-time) in Mathematics or a related field from King Saud University or any other recognized institution, with a grade of at least “High Good” and a cumulative GPA of (3.25/5) or its equivalent, provided that the grade in specialized courses is no less than “Very Good” with a cumulative GPA of (3.75/5) or its equivalent. (Applicants must contact the program to verify if their major is considered a related field before applying through the electronic admission portal).

  • The applicant must have a score of at least (4.5) in the IELTS ACADEMIC test or its equivalent.

  • The applicant must obtain a score of at least (400) in the GRE-Math Subject test or pass the written exam conducted by the department.

  • MATH 5701 – GEOMETRY AND TOPOLOGY – 4 Credit Hours

  • MATH 5801 – MEASURE THEORY – 4 Credit Hours

  • MATH 5411 – INTRODUCTION TO RINGS AND MODULES – 4 Credit Hours
