Program Description

The program is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and practical applications in both local and global business contexts.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are expected to demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Strategic & Operational Mastery:
    • Ability to practice advanced human resource management skills in diverse business settings by applying theoretical foundations to real-world scenarios.
    • Proficiency in aligning HR functions, such as performance management and staffing, with the overall strategic goals of an organization.
  • Analytical & Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in using quantitative and qualitative research methods to diagnose, analyze, and solve complex behavioral and operational problems in the workplace.
    • Competency in utilizing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and statistical tools (like those taught in the Quantitative Methods course) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership & Ethical Governance:
    • Development of leadership styles and competencies necessary to manage organizational change, diversity, and development effectively.
    • Ability to navigate the legal environment of business in Saudi Arabia and apply ethical values and social responsibility in organizational transactions.
  • Functional Specialization:
    • Capability to design and evaluate compensation systems, training programs, and performance appraisal models tailored to market needs.

In addition to meeting the general requirements of the unified regulations for graduate studies in Saudi Universities and procedures and rules in King Saud University, applicants should satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from KSU or any university accredited by the Ministry of Education with a minimum of a “Very Good” GPA; the department may accept a minimum of a “Good” GPA, provided that applicant has a minimum of a 2-year experience and applicant’s GPA of the specialty courses is at least “Very Good”.
  2. A score of at least 5 on the IELTS test or equivalent with less than two-year validity.
