Program Description

The program aims to prepare qualified professionals in the field of Information Systems through an academic environment that balances deep knowledge, technical skills, and practical application, while fostering learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Graduates will possess computing skills and be capable of :

  • Applying knowledge in computing and mathematics related to the specialty.

  • Analyzing problems, and identifying and defining the requirements of appropriate computing solutions.

  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating procedures, components, software, and computer systems to meet required needs.

  • Effectively working in teams to achieve a common goal.

  • Understanding the ethical, professional, security, legal, and social issues related to the specialty.

  • Taking on responsibilities and practical burdens related to their specialty.

  • Effectively communicating and working with others to form and maintain work relationships.

  • Analyzing the local and global impacts of computing on individuals, organizations, and society.

  • Recognizing the need for and engaging in continuous professional development.

  • Using the necessary technologies, machines, devices, tools, and software for computing practices.

  • Applying principles and methods of analysis, design, and construction of information systems in a given environment.

  • Applying principles and methods of data analysis and information extraction in a given environment.

  • Understanding the processes supporting the implementation and management of information systems in a given environment.

Common First Year (CFY): Students must complete the First Common Year in the Science/Engineering track, maintaining a competitive GPA to be assigned to the college.

Credit Hours: The curriculum requires 144 accredited study units.

Field Training: A mandatory six-month internship (consisting of one regular semester plus a summer semester) at a college-approved entity is required to link academic theory with professional practice.

Graduation Project: Students must complete a supervised graduation project in their final year.
Language of Instruction: Specialized courses and basic sciences are taught in English.

  • Track/Elective courses allow students to specialize in areas such as Business Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Emerging Technologies.
