Diploma program in international and comparative education exploring education systems from global and comparative perspective. Prepares professionals for work in international educational development and educational policies.
Program Description
Students enrolled in this program will:
- Understand and apply the theoretical concepts and principles underpinning professional practice in international and comparative education and global educational leadership.
- Demonstrate critical skills in instruction, research and policy analysis.
- Communicate effectively in speech and writing and practice evidence-based argumentation.
- Exhibit cultural competence and a commitment to the principles of diversity among learners.
- Acknowledge the importance of social responsibility for educators, including engagement in community outreach activities.
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, acceptable GPA, English proficiency test, one recommendation letter
Requirements
The Graduate Diploma requires 18 credit hours.
Two courses are required:
LAW 5200 – Graduate Legal Research and Writing (3 cr.)
One out of the following two courses:
LAW 5230 – Comparative Law (3 cr.)
LAW 5232 – International Law (3 cr.)
Electives
Students will be able to take up to four courses as electives, of which two have to be law courses. The Law Department’s approval is required for electives offered by other departments.
