Program Description

The Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSc PT) at King Saud University (KSU) is a postgraduate program designed to advance the clinical, research, and leadership expertise of licensed physical therapists.

1. Knowledge and Understanding
  • Advanced Theory: Appraise in-depth knowledge of physical therapy theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Integrated Methods: Integrate advanced understanding of recent evaluation and treatment methods in the field.
  • Research Methodology: Evaluate specific research requirements and inquiry methodologies relevant to physical therapy. 
2. Skills
  • Specialized Application: Apply advanced principles for evaluation and management across various physical therapy specialties.
  • Research Design: Design and conduct clinical experiments and research to improve health outcomes.
  • Data Proficiency: Utilize digital software and analytical tools for quantitative and qualitative data processing.
  • Critical Judgment: Exercise advanced clinical judgment by applying research findings to current practice challenges.
  • Communication: Effectively disseminate practical skills, innovations, and research findings to professional audiences. 
3. Values, Autonomy, and Responsibility
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate high levels of integrity and academic values in specialized practice.
  • Leadership: Exhibit independence and accountability in both clinical practice and scientific research. 
  • Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from KSU or an accredited institution.
  • GPA: Typically a minimum of “Very Good” (3.75/5.0) or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Valid professional classification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is usually required.
  • English Proficiency: Standardized test scores (e.g., TOEFL or IELTS) as specified by the Deanship of Graduate Studies.
