The courses cover the grammar of both languages, including morphology, syntax, and linguistic structures, as well as reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, which are taught in the department’s specialized laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art language learning and translation technologies. The program also covers both theoretical foundations and practical applications and offers various teaching methods integrating face-to-face, blended, and e-learning modalities.
Program Description
- Distinguish the nature of read texts or audible discourse in German and English and comprehend texts within context.
- Evaluate German and English texts linguistically.
- Write a research paper in language or literature in German and English.
- Communicate orally and write texts in German and English in a sound language in terms of wording, vocabulary and grammar.
- Assess, analyse and criticize German and English texts from linguistic and literary perspectives.
- Use the skills acquired from German and English phonetics and phonology in pronunciation and speaking.
- Use information technology means to self-develop linguistic skills and literary appreciation in the two languages.
- Accept others and respect different cultures.
