Postgraduate Dermatology

• Providing specialized training for medical students, residents and fellows in continuing education and research to advance patient care.
• Promoting research, especially in skin diseases prevalent among the local population.
• Educating healthcare professionals who can address public health challenges related to skin diseases, such as awareness campaigns against monkeypox.
• Integrating innovative technologies and methods into healthcare such as laser therapy, and genetic research related to skin diseases.
• Community awareness by spreading awareness about skin diseases, their clinical manifestations and treatment methods on the educational platforms of the Department of Dermatology on Twitter (X) and TikTok @Derma_KSU and holding periodic awareness events inside and outside the hospital in Riyadh with the participation of medical doctors to spread awareness about various skin diseases

• Medical Degree: An MBBS or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
• Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative grade of “Very Good” is typically required.
• Internship: Completion of a recognized one-year internship program.
• Licensure Exam: A passing score on the Saudi Medical Licensing Examination (SMLE) or the Saudi Licensure Exam (SLE).
• Departmental Interview: Successful performance in a formal interview conducted by the Dermatology Department.
• English Proficiency: While specific scores may vary by intake, proof of English language proficiency is standard for medical postgraduate studies at KSU.
• Recommendation Letters: At least two letters of reference from dermatology consultants who have supervised the applicant.
• Employer Release: A letter of full-time release for the duration of the four-year training period (for employed candidates).
• Identification: Valid Saudi National ID or Iqama, along with professional registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
