Program Description

The program is designed to achieve excellence in teaching and disseminating knowledge in real estate development, highlighting local environmental identity, providing beneficial services to the community, and contributing to the advancement of the profession through a comprehensive, quality-driven academic environment. 

  • Integrated Knowledge: Mastery of the interdisciplinary nature of real estate, blending land planning, law, marketing, valuation, and property management.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Ability to conduct feasibility studies and apply advanced valuation techniques to assess the economic viability of development projects.
  • Strategic Planning: Skills in identifying urban development trends and creating frameworks for positive community engagement and sustainable growth.
  • Professional Leadership: Preparedness to lead in the urban renaissance of the Kingdom by applying standardized academic content to real-world real estate challenges.
  • Research & Innovation: For those in the thesis track, the ability to design and execute original scientific research that addresses local environmental and professional issues.
  • Ethical Practice: Commitment to professional ethics and the preservation of local environmental identity within modern development projects.

In addition to meeting the admission requirements in the Unified Regulations for Graduate Studies in Saudi Universities and the rules and executive procedures at King Saud University, the department requires: 

-Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, urban design, architecture (with a GPA of at least 3.75, “Very Good”), or other related engineering fields (with a GPA of at least 3.75, “Very Good”) to be eligible for the program. 

-Passing a personal interview. 

-Submitting a research proposal in the field.
