Academic Requirements

Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Entry tracks are determined by your cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) based on a 4.0 scale (or regional equivalent):

Direct Admission: Requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or UAE equivalent of 3.0, UK 2nd Class Honours Lower Division, or India 50-70% depending on the grading system).

Probationary Entry: Open to applicants with a GPA between 2.5 and 2.99. Students must meet English requirements and typically complete a set number of subjects with specific grades before full admission.

Conditional Entry: Open to applicants with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.49.

Note: Backgrounds in non-business disciplines are accepted, making the program flexible for career changers.


English Language Proficiency

If your primary language is not English, you must submit official scores directly from the test centers using the UOWD Institution Codes (IELTS: AE109 / TOEFL: 7907):

IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0).

TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 86 (Reading 18, Writing 18, Listening 17, Speaking 17).


UAE Ministry of Education Regulations

Because UOWD is fully licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE), all master’s students must obtain a Bachelor Degree Equivalency / Attestation Certificate:

Degrees from inside the UAE: Must be attested by the UAE MoE.

Degrees from outside the UAE: Must be certified by the issuing university, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the home country, and either the UAE Embassy abroad or the host country’s embassy within the UAE.

To complete your online application via the UOWD Admissions Portal, you must submit:

Official academic transcripts and your Bachelor’s Certificate of Completion.

A certified English translation of documents if the originals are in another language.

An updated Resume / CV.

Clear copies of your Passport and Emirates ID (if you reside in the UAE).
