UOWD’s Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship degree in Dubai will help you develop the most in-demand skill set to lead business innovation projects or start your own company.

* Academic Requirements and Entry Tiers

Admission to the Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is primarily based on your undergraduate cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA).

Direct Entry
Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) are eligible for full admission without immediate academic restrictions.

Probationary Entry
Applicants with a GPA between 2.5 and 2.99 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) may be admitted on a probationary basis. To continue in the program, students must achieve a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 55% across their first three postgraduate subjects. During this probationary period, students may enroll in a maximum of 18 credit points.

Conditional Entry
Applicants with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) may be granted conditional admission. These students must successfully complete up to 18 credit points of remedial, non-credit-bearing subjects before formally enrolling in the master’s program. A minimum WAM of 55% must be maintained in these remedial courses.

Professional Experience
Unlike the MBA program at UOWD, professional work experience is not a mandatory requirement for admission to the Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.


* English Language Proficiency

As all teaching, learning, and assessment activities are conducted in English, applicants must provide evidence of English language proficiency through an approved test completed within two years of the program commencement date.

IELTS Academic
Overall score of 6.0, with a minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing, and 5.0 in Listening and Speaking.

TOEFL iBT
Overall score of 79, with minimum scores of 20 in Writing, 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, and 16 in Speaking. Home-based or online TOEFL and IELTS tests are not accepted.

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic
Overall score of 54, with a minimum score of 54 in all Communicative Skills.

English Language Exemption

Applicants may be exempt from submitting an English language test score if they have completed their entire K–12 education and bachelor’s degree in English in a recognized English-speaking country, such as Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, or New Zealand.

* Credit for Prior Learning:

In some cases your prior learning may be recognised by exempting you from completing specific subjects at UOWD on the basis of work you have already completed at another recognized institution or if you have a completed a bachelor degree in a relevant area from an accredited institution. In the case of Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, credit for prior learning may also be considered if you have a UOWD Graduate Certificate in Business.

If you are seeking credit for prior learning, you will need to submit an official academic transcripts showing all courses studied and the grades obtained, syllabus details (including information on course content) for the courses you have successfully completed and an explanation of the grading system, or proof of your work experience or further training. Your eligibility for Credit for Prior Learning will be decided in consultation with UOWD’s Faculty Offices prior to the beginning of the program.
