Program Description

The Master of Science (MS) program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) offers an innovative multidisciplinary curricula featuring a unique learning and research experience for students. During the course of their academic studies at CSE’s Division of Engineering Management and Decision Sciences, students will acquire critical research capabilities and analytical skills in optimization, data-driven modeling, and simulation to design, evaluate, and optimize complex industrial and supply chain systems.

Upon completing the program, graduates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in several critical domains:

System Optimization:
Design and optimize complex logistical systems using advanced data analytics, simulation, and digital twins.

Analytical Decision-Making: Apply sophisticated optimization models and methods to solve real-world procurement, inventory, and transportation challenges.

Strategic Leadership: Develop the management and leadership skills necessary to drive logistics strategies within Qatar and internationally.

Research Proficiency: Conduct rigorous independent research, including compiling original data and testing hypotheses to advance local and regional insights.

Technological Integration: Utilize Industry 4.0 enablers, such as machine learning and blockchain, to enhance supply chain resilience.

Multidisciplinary Expertise: Integrate principles from engineering, management, and decision-making to address diverse industry sectors like oil and gas, healthcare, and e-commerce.

Applicants seeking admissions to the College of Science and Engineering graduate programs at HBKU should have a strong academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4.0) from a recognized university.

Applicants to the master’s programs should have a bachelor’s degree.

They should have also majored in one of the following disciplines: Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, General Engineering, or other related fields.

Students are required to demonstrate strong analytical skills.

Applicants are required to submit a valid IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 79 to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
