Program Description

The interdisciplinary program introduces students to a wide range of skills, practices, theoretical approaches, and frameworks across disciplines, including health policy and politics, public policy, public health, development studies, and ethics.

The program introduces students to theoretical concepts and analytical approaches to interrogating contemporary challenges in health policy and the opportunity to gain real-world practical experience by working closely with industry partners and international health organizations during their studies.

Hosting Institution

Graduates will be able to:

  • Map Theoretical Approaches: Articulate and navigate major multidisciplinary debates and schools of thought within the policy sciences.
  • Analyze Complex Problems: Critically analyze global health problems using rigorous, multidisciplinary perspectives and appropriate research methods.
  • Lead with Equity: Collaborate effectively with policymakers and stakeholders through culturally responsive and equity-oriented activities.
  • Communicate Effectively: Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills for policy analysis, evaluation, and public service.
  • Apply Ethical Standards: Implement high ethical standards in research design and adaptive policy practice.

 

– Applicants seeking admissions to the Master in Global Health Policy should have a bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4.0) from a recognized university.

– Applicants from diverse academic backgrounds are welcome to apply, with preference given to those with experience in healthcare, public health, or policy-related fields.

– Applicants are required to submit an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 79 to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
