Program Description
- Clinical Assessment: Perform comprehensive medical and trauma assessments in both emergency field and clinical settings at an entry-level paramedic proficiency.
- Diagnostic & Therapeutic Application: Apply diagnostic skills and interventional techniques within the paramedic scope of practice to formulate and execute appropriate patient action plans.
- Critical Thinking: Integrate knowledge from paramedic studies with diagnostic findings to develop accurate patient impressions in complex pre-hospital scenarios.
- Communication: Effectively exchange information with patients and medical staff, and produce accurate verbal and written patient care reports.
- Professionalism & Ethics: Maintain professional behavior, including self-motivation, flexibility, and adherence to legal and ethical standards in emergency care.
- Research & Evidence-Based Practice: Actively participate in research and leadership activities to promote evidence-based clinical practice in the EMS field.
- Disaster Management: Acquire knowledge in responding to and recovering from hazards, disasters, and mass gathering emergencies.
