Program Description

The Master of Science in Biopsychology and Neuroscience (BNS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is a multidisciplinary program designed to train the next generation of researchers in neuroscience and mental health.

Hosting Institution

– Apply fundamental concepts of molecular and cellular neuroscience at the cellular and organismal levels.

– Acquire and demonstrate basic translational research skills in neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, behavioral, and cognitive neuroscience.

– Learn and apply ethical standards to construct a succinct research thesis in neuroscience.

– Demonstrate ability to read and critically analyze the published research studies in neuroscience.

– Develop proficiency in experimental design and implementation, statistical analysis, and interpretation of results.

– Gain effective verbal and written communication skills.

– Applicants seeking admissions to the CHLS graduate programs at HBKU should have a strong academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4) from a recognized university.

– Applicants for the Master of Science in Biopsychology and Neuroscience should have a passion for neuroscience and evidence of coursework in biological or medical sciences.

– Applicants are required to submit a valid IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 79 to demonstrate their proficiency in English.

– Applicants with evidence of prior research experience are preferred.
