Program Description
Graduates will be able to:
Knowledge
-Understand and analyze financial statements to drive informed decision-making.
-The evolution, key drivers, and emerging verticals of global fintech—including digital payments, neobanking, wealth‑tech, insure‑tech, and reg‑tech.
-Analyze how traditional capital‑market structures interact with blockchain‑based assets, smart contracts, and tokenization models.
-Assess the economic impact of fintech on financial inclusion, competition policy, and national digital‑transformation agendas (e.g., Vision 2030).
-Evaluate operational, credit, market, and cyber‑risks introduced by fintech solutions and outline control frameworks to mitigate them.
-Describe the technical underpinnings of APIs, cloud infrastructure, distributed ledger technology, and AI/ML algorithms as applied in financial services.
Skills
-Perform corporate‑finance and venture‑valuation analyses for fintech
startups and digital‑transformation projects.
-Apply quantitative methods to support strategic financial innovation decision making.
-Evaluate digital‑payment, blockchain, open‑banking, and AI‑enabled financial solutions.
-Demonstrate the ability to work independently, advancing
professional development in financial innovation.
-Formulate fintech business models that align with market gaps, value‑proposition design, and sustainable revenue streams.
-Identifying key drivers of innovation and enduring tools shaping the financial industry.
-Navigate Saudi and global regulatory frameworks (SAMA, ZATCA, FATF) to obtain licenses or sandbox approvals. Implement compliance, cybersecurity, & Reg Tech controls to manage operational & financial risk.
– Bachelor degree (The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a Saudi university or any university recommended by the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia with a GPA of “Good” or above.)
