Program Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the core departments in the Faculty of Medicine, and it is among the oldest obstetrics and gynecology departments in the Kingdom. The department has continued to excel in its academic, training, and research activities. An undergraduate course in obstetrics and gynecology is available for both male and female students, in addition to the supervision of the Saudi Fellowship Program.

  • Clinical Competence: Achieving the level of a safe, skilled specialist capable of independent diagnosis and management of a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecological diseases.
  • Specialized Surgical Skills: Mastery of advanced operative skills and decision-making for complex surgical interventions in maternal-fetal medicine and gynecology.
  • Critical Care Management: Proficiency in running emergency obstetric units and managing high-risk cases in conjunction with ICUs and neonatal units.
  • Professional Ethics: Demonstration of compassionate, sensitive care aligned with international standards and Islamic ethical principles for women’s healthcare.
