Upon completing all graduation requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree in Law, the student is expected to achieve the following:

This course provides a general introduction essential for studying law. It is divided into two parts: the first covers the theory of law, including definitions, characteristics, branches, sources, interpretation, application, and repeal of law; the second addresses the theory of rights, including definitions, types, classifications, holders, objects, scope, sources, use, and proof of rights.

This course offers an analytical study of the theory of obligations, its types, and sources. It covers contract theory, contract classification, conditions of formation, validity, enforceability, and the scope of contracts regarding parties, content, interpretation, and dissolution. It also addresses unilateral acts as sources of obligations, tort liability, liability for acts of things, and obligations arising from beneficial acts, with an analytical approach to Jordanian civil law, its sources, comparative legislation, and relevant judicial precedents.

This course covers the general principles of commercial law, including the emergence and development of commercial law, the Jordanian Commercial Law, the definition of a merchant, conditions for conducting business, commercial obligations, book-keeping, registration in the commercial register, the need for a trade name, and general study of commercial contracts according to Jordanian e-Transactions Law.

This course introduces administrative law, its origin, sources, characteristics, and scope of application. It includes central and decentralized administrative organization, the public function, and public finances.

The course introduces the state, its pillars, characteristics, types, origins, and legal accountability. It examines government structures with a focus on democracy, electoral processes, separation of powers, and general constitutional principles, including types of constitutions, their formation, supremacy, and termination.

This course introduces public international law, its development, relationship with domestic law, binding nature, and sources, including treaties, international customs, general principles, judicial decisions, and international organizations. It also covers non-state actors, peaceful dispute resolution, armed conflicts, and the general theory of neutrality.

This course studies the general theory of crime, including the definition of criminal law, its temporal and spatial application, justification rules, material and mental elements of crimes, and general provisions on criminal responsibility.
