Program Description

The Bachelor of Business major in Business Analytics degree is designed to prepare students to develop solid skills in data analytics for the challenges they will face as a business leader in today’s rapidly changing environment. The program is taught as a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises in our ‘Data Analytics Lab’ using state of the art data science and analytics software.

*English Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants must prove English proficiency by hitting one of the following minimum scores:

IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 6.0, with at least 6.0 in Reading and Writing, and at least 5.0 in Listening and Speaking.

TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 79, with at least 18 in Reading, 20 in Writing, 17 in Listening, and 16 in Speaking.

TOEFL PBT: Minimum overall score of 550, with at least 4.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE).

Note: Students with an overall IELTS score of 6.0 but minor sub-score gaps in Reading or Writing may be offered conditional entry via a remedial English subject in their first trimester.

**Academic Entry & Degree Tracks

UOWD operates on a flexible track system. Outstanding students qualify for the 3-year Advanced Entry track, while others take the 4-year Direct Entry track which incorporates a foundational Freshman Year.

  • UAE Al-Thanawiyya Al-Aama: 70% for Elite/Advanced Tracks or 75% for General Track (4-year entry).
  • British GCE Curriculum: 5 IGCSE/GCSE subjects at Grade D + 2 AS-levels (or 1 A-level) at Grade D for the 4-year track. A-level scores of CCD are required for the 3-year track.
  • American High School Diploma: Overall average of C (70% or 2.5/4.0). Adding a SAT score of 1,100 grants access to the 3-year track.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 21 points for the 4-year track; 25 points for the 3-year track.
  • CBSE India (Grade 12): Minimum calculated score of 7 for 4-year entry; 10.5 for 3-year entry.

To secure your admission, you must provide the following standard paperwork:

  • Personal Interview: Completion of an online personal entry interview.
  • Certified Transcripts: Secondary school records certified by your home country’s Ministry of Education/Foreign Affairs.
  • MOE Equivalency: Non-UAE curriculum certificates must secure an official Equivalency Certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education.
  • Identification: Valid passport copy and Emirates ID (if you are a UAE resident).
