Program Description

This degree prepares students for careers in various fields, including marketing and media planning, and provides a strong foundation in communication theory and practice.

Upon successful completion of the Marketing Communications concentration, graduates are expected to be able to:
  • Analyze and critically assess the key characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses of each marketing communication tool, including advertising, public relations, sales promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, and interactive/internet campaigns.
  • Develop an integrated marketing communications program that effectively combines various promotional tools.
  • Plan, design, implement, and evaluate specific campaigns across different channels, including digital and social media platforms.
  • Identify and evaluate key challenges, developments, and trends impacting promotional tools and communication channels.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in business situations, both orally and in writing, using appropriate media.
  • Differentiate and analyze consumer data sources and collection methods using an empirical research approach to inform targeted strategies.
  • Apply knowledge from business and communication disciplines to real-world scenarios.
  • Work in accordance with professional ethics, standards, practices, and relevant laws.
  • Build teams and collaborate effectively within them.
  • Use appropriate tools and technologies for research, communication, and decision-making in a business context. 

 

Hold a secondary school certificate recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Education, obtain “permission” from the Equivalence Committee for foreign programs, competitive admission based on 50% SAT and 50% grades 10 and 11 averages.

Curriculum components:
  • Integrated Marketing Communications: A foundational course that links mass communication tools with marketing and advertising.
  • Public Relations: Courses cover public relations management and practice.
  • Consumer Behavior: Students study consumer behavior and how to analyze market trends to tailor strategies.
  • Digital Strategy: Courses on digital communication strategy and social media are included.
  • Practical application: Students learn theory and apply it through workshops, training, and internships with local and international news and media outlets.
