The program aims to provide students with advanced scientific knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to meet the increasing challenges in dental care.
Program Description
Graduates are expected to master advanced competencies across several domains:
- Advanced Clinical Expertise: Gain a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices, including advanced periodontology, oral medicine, and comprehensive patient care in interdisciplinary settings.
- Educational Leadership: Acquire the skills to serve as clinical educators, mastering theories of dental health education, curriculum design, and assessment methods.
- Research Proficiency: Develop the capability to plan and conduct original scientific research, including mastery of biostatistics and research ethics, culminating in a defended master’s thesis.
- Administrative Skills: Prepare for healthcare facility and clinic leadership through courses in administration and professional leadership.
- Diagnostic Mastery: Enhance ability to formulate differential diagnoses for soft and hard tissue abnormalities and manage medical emergencies in dental settings.
- Professional Ethics: Demonstrate a deep commitment to high-quality standards and ethical practice within the dental hygiene profession.

A bachelor’s degree in regular attendance in Dental Hygiene from King Saud University or a recognized institution with at least a “Good” grade (GPA ≥ 2.75 out of 5 or equivalent).
