- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Lead the orthodontic phase of treatment for patients requiring orthognathic surgery or multidisciplinary care for cleft lip and palate.
- Biomechanics Mastery: Apply advanced principles of physics and biomechanics to achieve precise tooth movement and skeletal correction.
- Bachelor’s Degree: A BDS or DDS from a recognized dental school.
- GPA Standards: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25/5.00 (or “Good”). Most competitive applicants for Orthodontics often possess a GPA of 4.0/5.0 or higher.
- Specialty Grades: A minimum grade of “Very Good” in undergraduate courses related to the chosen specialty (Pediatric Dentistry or Orthodontics).
- Internship: Completion of a one-year rotating internship in dentistry.
