Program Description

 It offers programs that improve teaching methods and raise the educational awareness among citizens to meet the educational needs of the community, through offering effective educator preparation programs.

Professional Competence:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of their academic discipline and the pedagogical methods required to teach it.
  • Utilize modern technology and varied teaching strategies to facilitate student learning.

Strategic Pedagogy:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate curricula that effectively promote learning for diverse student populations.
  • Revise and develop student assessment methods to measure educational progress accurately.

Generic & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Commitment to sound moral and ethical principles in a professional educational setting.
  • Effective use of communication and numerical skills in classroom management and professional collaboration.
  • Ability to engage in self-directed learning for lifelong professional development.

Community & Research Engagement:

  • Conduct or apply research to support educational reform efforts and solve practical challenges in the field.
  • Collaborate effectively with the community to meet societal educational needs.
  • Composite Score: Final placement is based on a weighted average of:
    • 30% High School GPA (Minimum 90% is often required for competitive entry).
    • 30% General Aptitude Test (Qudurat).
    • 40% Subject Achievement Test (Tahsili).
  • General Criteria:
    • The applicant must be a Saudi national (or meet specific international student criteria) and be under 25 years old.
    • A medical fitness examination is required to ensure suitability for the teaching profession.
  • Major Selection: While some students enter directly into tracks like Sharia Program, others are allocated to specific education majors (e.g., Special Education, Art Education) after completing the Common First Year based on their GPA and available seats.
