The program is designed to give the student greater breadth and depth of technical and practical industrial engineering knowledge and skills that are necessary for developing a knowledge-based industry and solving effectively and efficiently the encountered problems that face the industrial revolution of the country.

The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree under the regular study system from King Saud University or from any other recognized institution, with a grade of no less than Very Good and a cumulative GPA of 3.75 out of 5 or its equivalent.

The applicant must hold a Master of Science degree under the regular study system in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from King Saud University or from any other recognized institution, with a grade of no less than Very Good (if the awarding university uses a grading system) and a cumulative GPA of 3.75 out of 5 or its equivalent.
Applicants must contact the department to verify whether their specialization is considered a related discipline before submitting an application through the electronic admission portal. -
The applicant must obtain a minimum score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test or its equivalent.

The applicant must obtain a score of 151 in the quantitative section of the GRE General test. This requirement is waived for applicants who hold a Master’s degree by thesis from the Department of Electrical Engineering at King Saud University with a GPA of no less than 4.25 out of 5, provided that no more than two years have elapsed since obtaining the master’s degree.
