Program Description

Providing a distinguished program that ensures the development of highly qualified scientists and consultants in human nutrition, capable of advancing food and nutrition sciences through impactful and innovative research, disseminating knowledge through creative and critical thinking, effectively utilizing technology and its applications in the field, contributing evidence-based scientific knowledge to society, and establishing distinguished partnerships with the scientific community and other sectors.

In addition to the admission conditions stipulated in the Unified Regulations for Postgraduate Studies in Saudi Universities, and the organizational and executive rules and procedures governing postgraduate studies at King Saud University, the department requires the following:

  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Food Sciences, or a related scientific or medical discipline, obtained through full-time study from King Saud University or any other university recognized by the Ministry of Education, with a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.75 out of 5, or its equivalent.

  • The applicant must obtain a score of 5.0 in the IELTS test or an equivalent score in another approved English language proficiency examination.

  • Admission is competitive and is based on established admission criteria. Final admission is also subject to the department’s available capacity.
