Program Description
Graduates of the program are expected to achieve the following outcomes:
- Advanced Research Proficiency: Ability to conduct original, high-quality scientific research in applied linguistics that contributes new knowledge to the field.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify complex language learning problems and devise evidence-based solutions grounded in linguistic theory.
- Technological Integration: Mastery of modern technical trends, including computer-assisted learning (CALL), e-learning, and mobile learning, and their application in Arabic language instruction.
- Curriculum Development: Expertise to review, evaluate, and develop Arabic language programs and materials in alignment with contemporary teaching requirements.
- Sociolinguistic Awareness: Understanding the intricate relationship between language and society, including language policy, variation, and sociocultural contexts.
- Academic Leadership: Qualification to teach graduate-level courses and provide scholarly supervision for university-level theses.
Master’s degree in Linguistics or related specialties – Very Good GPA or higher – Arabic language proficiency – Pass personal interview.
