Program Description

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity is designed to train graduate scholars, professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders, and researchers in the advanced knowledge and skills required to fully understand and implement the technologies, tools, management methods, and policy issues related to cybersecurity.

Hosting Institution

Students graduating from this program are expected to achieve several core competencies:

  • Advanced Technical Knowledge: Mastering major areas such as applied cryptography, network security, and secure software/hardware systems.
  • Multidisciplinary Proficiency: Understanding the intersection of technology with policy, management, and ethics to address modern IT security challenges.
  • Practical Problem-Solving: Gaining hands-on experience through real-world projects in areas like secure mobile systems, risk analysis, and computer forensics.
  • Research & Innovation: Ability to conduct original research or execute complex industrial projects under expert guidance, potentially leading to scientific publications.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Equipping students to take on leading roles in governmental, academic, or non-governmental organizations through dedicated leadership and innovation coursework.

Applicants to the PhD programs should have a master’s degree.

Applicants should check the program they are applying for in order to make sure that they have majored in one of the disciplines mentioned under “required field of study: Computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics and related fields.”

Applicants are required to submit a valid IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 79 to demonstrate their proficiency in English.

Applied Cryptography – 3 Credit Hours
Computer and Network Security – 3 Credit Hours
Security Risk Analysis – 3 Credit Hours

First Year – Second Semester

Elective Course 1 – 3 Credit Hours

Second Year – First Semester

Graduate Research Seminars – 3 Credit Hours
