Master of Science in Computer Science

In addition to the admission requirements stated in the Unified Regulations for Graduate Studies in Saudi universities, and the organizational and executive rules and procedures for graduate studies at King Saud University, the department requires the following for admission to the program:

• The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science under the regular study system from King Saud University or an equivalent institution, with a grade of no less than Very Good and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 out of 5 or its equivalent.

• Applicants who are not specialized in Computer Science may be admitted from the following disciplines: Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, non-educational computer-related disciplines, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, and Operations Research, provided that the degree was obtained under the regular study system from King Saud University or from any other university recommended by the Ministry of Education, with a grade of no less than Very Good and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 out of 5 or its equivalent.

• The applicant must obtain a minimum score of 4.5 in the IELTS test or its equivalent.

• The applicant must obtain a minimum score of 70 in the quantitative section of the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates, or at least 140 in the quantitative section of the GRE General test.

• The applicant must have obtained a score of no less than 65 in the Qiyas test.
