Program Description

Preparing specialists in physical therapy, rehabilitation, audiology, occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy, and producing distinguished research that helps promote health and contributes effectively to serving and developing the community.

  • Knowledge & Understanding:
    • Integrate biological, physical, and behavioral sciences into clinical practice.
    • Appraise in-depth theories and principles specific to their rehabilitation field.
    • Recognize the impact of various physical and mental conditions on a patient’s functional performance.

    • Clinical Reasoning: Apply evidence-based practice to diagnose and manage various patient conditions.
    • Technical Proficiency: Utilize digital software, analytical tools, and specialized therapeutic equipment for evaluation and treatment.
    • Research: Design and conduct original scientific research to contribute to community health improvements.
    • Communication: Demonstrate fluency in oral and written communication in both Arabic and English within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Academic Background: Applicants must have graduated from the Scientific Section of high school.
  • Common First Year (CFY): Students must complete the university’s preparatory year with a cumulative GPA typically of 3.0 out of 5.0 or higher to compete for a seat in a specific rehabilitation major.
  • Standardized Tests: Admission is based on a composite score including the high school GPA, General Aptitude Test (GAT), and Scholastic Achievement Admission Test (SAAT).
  • Additional Criteria: Applicants must be medically fit and may be required to pass a personal interview.
