Program Description

The Department of Cardiology offers specialized medical services including examination, diagnosis, treatment, pre-surgery and post-operative care, in addition to treating cardiovascular diseases of various kinds, such as natural, artificial and congenital valves and systemic disorders of the heart.

  • Clinical Proficiency: Develop a systematic approach to assessing, diagnosing, and managing cardiac patients efficiently.
  • Technical Expertise: Acquire progressive skills to independently and safely perform both noninvasive (Echocardiography, Stress ECG, Holter) and invasive (Cardiac Catheterization, Angiography) techniques.
  • Critical Care Management: Gain extensive experience in managing critically ill patients with extreme urgency, particularly in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
  • Leadership & Consultation: Develop the leadership skills necessary to lead a cardiology team and advise physicians in other specialties on cardiac care.
  • Professional Ethics: Understand and apply professional ethics based on Islamic principles in clinical practice.
  • Research & Prevention: Conduct research focusing on community cardiac care and provide expert advice on preventive measures.

Bachelor degree in Medicine or equivalent from recognized program.
