The Electrical Engineering Program prepares engineers to work in electrical power engineering stations, substations and high voltage transmission networks. The program also teaches students the issues pertaining to the design, development, and analysis of different types of electrical generators and motors in addition to their operation, maintenance, and control through extensive knowledge of power electronics.

Program Description
The program’s Student Outcomes (SOs) are based on ABET criteria and aim for graduates to possess key abilities. These include applying engineering, science, and math to solve complex problems, designing solutions considering various factors like health, safety, and welfare, effective communication, understanding professional and ethical responsibilities, working effectively in teams, conducting experiments and interpreting data, and engaging in continuous learning.
Admission typically requires a high school diploma with strong math and physics performance, often including a high GPA and competitive scores on standardized tests like GAT/SAAT.
