Program Description

The Department of Educational Sciences was founded in 1991 and currently comprises three academic programs: Classroom Teacher, Early Childhood Education, and Physical Education. All programs are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and meet the requirements of the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). The teaching staff consists of a select group of professors holding various academic ranks: 1 professor, 3 associate professors, and 9 assistant professors.

• Graduates of the Classroom Teacher program have wide-ranging career opportunities, given their exceptional flexibility, enabling them to quickly integrate into various fields, including:
• Teaching in all government and private schools covering the elementary stages.
• Working in centers and institutes providing remedial and preparatory sessions for elementary school students.
• Employment in civil society institutions and associations offering educational services for the elementary stage.
• Employment in functional fields requiring a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, such as some coordination and supervisory positions.
Graduates of the Early Childhood Education program also have diverse career opportunities, thanks to their exceptional flexibility, enabling them to quickly integrate into various fields, including:
• Working in kindergartens and nursery schools, whether private or affiliated with schools and government institutions.
• Employment in institutions concerned with child care and related fields.
• Employment in some childcare centers and nurseries.
• Employment in functional fields requiring a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, such as some coordination and supervisory positions.

Jordanian General Secondary Certificate with min 60% average.

    • Practicum (Field Training)
    • Classroom Management Techniques (often integrated into other courses)
  • Child Development and Psychology:
    • Social and Emotional Development of the Child
    • Language and Cognitive Development of the Child
