Program Description

The program focused on designing, constructing, and repairing dental prosthetics (like dentures, crowns, bridges) and orthodontic devices, blending artistic skill with scientific knowledge and new tech (CAD/CAM) to meet regional demand for skilled technicians in labs and centers, aiming for graduates with strong technical skills and professional ethics.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are expected to achieve the following learning outcomes in knowledge, skills, and competencies:

Knowledge

 

Graduates will have a strong understanding of fundamental principles of dental technology, dental materials and their properties, and oral anatomy and physiology. They will also be knowledgeable about the ethical and legal standards in the field.

Skills

 

Students will gain skills in applying advanced techniques like CAD/CAM and bioprinting in fabricating dental prosthetics. They will be proficient in using dental laboratory equipment and in fabricating various dental structures such as crowns, bridges, and orthodontic devices. The program also emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support dentists. 

Competencies

 

Graduates will be competent in effective communication with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs. They will adhere to professional ethics, contribute to community health through quality services, and be committed to lifelong learning in the field of dental technology. Additionally, they will develop leadership, administrative skills, and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
