Program Description

The program has been designed to reflect the modern trends and developments in the Electrical Engineering curricula. 

Graduates from the M.Sc. program are expected to demonstrate:
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to solve complex problems in electrical engineering using advanced knowledge.
  • Design & Analysis: Capability to design, analyze, and evaluate engineering systems considering ethical, social, and safety factors.
  • Research & Professionalism: Skills in conducting advanced research, acting ethically, and working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Continuous Learning: Ability to adapt and apply new knowledge to keep pace with technology.
  • Lead in Industry: Pursue successful, leadership-oriented engineering careers.
  • Innovate & Educate: Create solutions for societal needs and potentially pursue doctoral studies.
  • Degree: B.S. in Electrical Engineering from KSU or an accredited institution.
  • GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of “Very Good” (3.75/5.0) or equivalent.
  • Tests:
    • English Proficiency: Minimum score of 53 on TOEFL-iBT, 5.5 on IELTS, or 85 on STEP.
    • GRE: A recent GRE score is typically required for the application.
  • Documents: Two letters of recommendation from former professors and a statement of purpose.
  • Status: Applicants must be Saudi citizens or have an official grant if non-Saudi.

Students must choose between two paths after completing a common foundation.

Thesis Option (24 Credit Hours + Thesis)
