Program Description

The program aims to develop advanced linguistic proficiency and professional translation skills between Russian and Arabic. 

Graduates are expected to achieve competencies in the following areas:
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Mastery of reading, writing, and speaking in both Russian and Arabic.
  • Translation & Interpretation Skills: Ability to perform written translation and oral (consecutive and simultaneous) interpreting across diverse fields, including economic, legal, political, and technical sectors.
  • Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of Russian cultural history, literature, and society to facilitate effective intercultural communication.
  • Research & Technical Skills: Proficiency in conducting linguistic research and using modern technologies, including AI-assisted translation tools.
  • Professional Ethics: Commitment to the ethical standards of the translation profession.
  • Secondary Education: A high school diploma (Science or Humanities track) with a high competitive GPA.
  • Standardized Tests:
    • General Aptitude Test (GAT): Required for all Saudi applicants.
    • Achievement Test (SAAT): Required for ranking within the Humanities track.
  • Common First Year (CFY): Students must first complete the Humanities Colleges Track. Direct entry into the major occurs after the CFY based on the student’s GPA and the department’s capacity.
  • Age and Conduct: Applicants must be under 25 years old, have a record of good conduct, and pass a medical fitness exam.
