Program Description

Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering (PCE) program emphasizes the application of technologies and tools in the short term, and the ability to discover, acquire, and adapt new knowledge and skills in the long term.

PCE provides bachelor’s students with an understanding of the fundamentals of Chemical Engineering in general and specifically in the pharmaceutical industry and management concepts, methodologies, and technologies as demonstrated by:

a. An ability to apply knowledge in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering in the development of various processes in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
b. An ability to design and conduct various processes in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
c. An ability to design a system that satisfies specific requirements.
d. An ability to function on culturally diverse and to work in various international labor markets.
e. An ability to formulate conclusions and use present new solutions.
f. An understanding of the current global challenges.
g. An ability to work in teams and cooperate to achieve plans and tasks.
h. An ability to use ethical and professional principles in the presented technical solutions.

To apply for admission, the following minimum requirements must be met:
– For applicants with Jordanian Certificates (Tawjihi): Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi), The acceptance rate is ≥ 80.
– For applicants with Arab or Foreign Certificates: an Equivalency issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Education, for any of the Arab or foreign certificates such as (IB, IGCSE/GCE, HSD &
SAT II).
