Program Description

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Computer and Autonomous Systems Engineering is a four-year professional degree designed to bridge hardware design, software development, and autonomous machine intelligence.

Hosting Institution

Upon completing the degree, graduates are able to:
  • Design Autonomous Systems: Build self-navigating robots, drones, and smart vehicular pathfinding systems.
  • Integrate Hardware & Software: Connect physical microprocessors with custom software algorithms for IoT devices.
  • Deploy Artificial Intelligence: Apply machine learning and computer vision to help machines interpret surroundings.
  • Solve Complex Engineering Problems: Use advanced calculus and physics to troubleshoot systemic hardware failures.
  • Conduct Independent Research: Formulate, test, and document a major engineering thesis project.
  • Practice Ethically & Safely: Implement cybersecurity protocols and safety standards for human-machine interaction.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Manage multidisciplinary technical teams and pitch designs to non-technical clients.
  • Academic Background: Completion of 13 years of schooling or a recognized high school diploma.
  • Prerequisites: High-level achievement in Mathematics and Physics/Science.
  • Diagnostic Tests: Some campuses require scoring 60%+ on math and physics placement exams.
  • IELTS Academic: Minimum overall band score of 6.0 (with sub-score limits).
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70 to 79 depending on the specific campus guidelines.
