Program Description

The BSc. in Environmental Science is an accredited degree, and the first program of its kind in Qatar. It is developed to address escalating issues, and the environmental challenges that Qatar, and the region faces. In addition to meeting the current, and projected needs of stakeholders.

Graduates of the Environmental Science major will be able to:

  • Define and explain basic principles and concepts in different environments and ecosystems.
  • Explain the underlying causes for environmental degradation and conservations
  • Conduct experiments using modern lab techniques and analyze, evaluate and interpret data.
  • Employ scientific approaches in interdisciplinary research in a safe and ethical manner, and to be aware of risk assessment, health and safety environmental regulations as well as environmental laws.
  • Explain the human dimensions in their profession, including diverse social, cultural, economic, and international aspects.
  • Apply skilled delivery using verbal, written and electronic communication to convey environmental issues.
  • Explain contemporary and emerging environmental issues and to recognize the need for lifelong learning.
  •  skills and modern environmental skills, tools, in integration with applying professional, ethical practices in multidisciplinary teams  integration with applying professional,  with multidisciplinary team in professional practice.
