Program Description

PhD program in Sustainable Energy provide students with extensive knowledge in topics related to sustainable energy, energy-economy interdependencies, urbanization, transportation and manufacturing on energy and overall sustainable development. The programs also look at the implications and drivers of sustainable policy-making on society, the economy, and the environment.

Original Scientific Research: Students master the ability to conduct original and scientifically significant research in energy science, specializing in technologies that support sustainable development.

Energy-Impact Analysis: Graduates gain extensive knowledge of how urbanization, transportation, manufacturing, and general growth impact energy sustainability and overall development.

Sustainable Policymaking: The program equips students to understand and evaluate the implications and drivers of policymaking on society, the economy, and the environment.

Multidisciplinary Tools: Graduates acquire a suite of core skills for careers in science and engineering, including research methods, ethics, data analytics, and advanced computing methods.

Sector-Specific Mastery: Outcomes include deep insights into renewable energy technologies (solar, wind), smart power grids, energy storage, and consumption efficiency.

Applicants to the PhD programs should have a master’s degree.

Applicants should check the program they are applying for in order to make sure that they have majored in one of the disciplines mentioned under “required field of study: Engineering and science disciplines preferred. Students from architecture, urban planning, business, economics, policy, and social sciences demonstrating strong analytical skills will also be considered.”

Applicants are required to submit a valid IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 79 to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
