Program Description

The program aims to be one of the leading finance programs in graduating the best professional talents in the field of applied finance at the regional level.

Knowledge & Understanding: Define core financial principles, theories of banking and economics, and the financial environment of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and statements to differentiate between various corporate financial decisions.

Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and formulate data-driven solutions for real-world financial problems.

Technical Proficiency: Master the use of financial calculators and Excel for complex financial operations and modeling.

Professional Communication: Conduct effective research and present high-quality financial analysis reports both orally and in writing.

Ethics & Responsibility: Recognize and apply ethical, legal, and cultural requirements in financial dealings within a globalized environment.

Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within diverse teams and maintain professional working relationships.

Entry into the Finance major is competitive and occurs after the preparatory year:
  • GPA Threshold: Students generally need a cumulative GPA above 4.0/5.0 during their preparatory year to be competitive for the Finance track.
  • Course Grade: A minimum grade of “B” or higher in the Principles of Finance (FIN 200) course is required for major allocation.
  • Composite Score: Initial university admission is based on high school GPA (30%), Qudurat (30%), and Tahsili (40%).
