Program Description

To provide high-quality applied nursing education and research that fosters entrepreneurship and sustainability in
healthcare, through partnership with local, German, and international health-related industrial communities to
optimize healthcare outcomes.

Upon completion of the nursing program requirements at GJU, Nursing students are expected to:

1. [KP1]: Comprehend the nursing and related knowledge, theories, updated evidence, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning strategies to plan ethical, quality, and holistic nursing care in varied contexts.
2. [KP2]: Appraise the present knowledge, current practice guidelinesto promote the quality of provided care.
3. [SP1]: Apply evidence-based nursing skills to provide a holistic, systematic, prioritized, and safe nursing care
that adheres to the nursing regulatory context.
4. [SP2]: Construct healthcare plans based on a solid assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation,
evaluation, and documentation to achieve the desired healthcare outcomes.
5. [SP3]: Interpret clients’ responses to illness and wellness conditions and provide care to evaluate
progression towards desired healthcare outcomes.
6. [CP1]: Demonstrate goal-directed, professional, therapeutic communication skills in relationships with
clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
7. [CP2]: Collaborate responsibly and effectively with the clients, healthcare professionals, and organizations
in Germany and Jordan, considering cultural, beliefs, and values variations to provide effective centered
client care.
8. [CP3]: Apply the principles of advocacy, leadership, and management to coordinate and provide quality
nursing care, considering client’s confidentiality.

To apply for admission, the following minimum requirements must be met:

a. A minimum high school grade of 70%.
b. An original or certified copy of the high school transcript for Tawjihi students in Jordan. A certified copy of the certificate of equivalency issued by the Ministry of Education for students who completed their high school requirements in Arab countries or who were enrolled in foreign high school programs (IB, IGCSE/GCE, HSD & SAT II).
c. Two recent passport-size personal photos, kindly write your name on the back of the photos.
d. A certified copy of the personal ID from the Civil Status department and a copy of your passport data page
(for Jordanians), or a certified copy of your foreign passport from the country’s embassy in Jordan (for nonJordanians).
e. A copy of the Military Service book for male students – data page and postponement (not required for nonJordanians).
